This pencil sketch was inspired by an iconic landmark. The Parisian cathedral was devastated by a fire in 2019, and this universally-known landmark almost ceased to exist. As the current restoration project is underway, this beautifully intricate and two-dimensional drawing adds a modern twist of motion. With a lone figure stood on the pathway leading to the church entrance, this work offers hope and inclusion.
