'Leicester Town Hall' is a local landscape in the surrounding area which the artist, Lizzy Hewitt, inhabits. This oil painting portrays a modest yet refined town hall, which was built in the late nineteenth-century and conscructed in the English Baroque architectural style. Painted on a summer day with a bright-blue sky, there is lots of public congregation on the green and by the large water fountain. This recognisable landmark is framed in a simple white wood.
